Rise Kujikawa, everyone's favorite pop idol, is finally going to show off her fighting skills as a playable character in Persona 4 Arena Ultimax.

While she mainly played a support role in previous games, Rise will finally be able to get down and dirty in Persona 4 Arena Ultimax, where she'll be available as a playable character. She was present in the previous iteration of Persona 4 Arena as the announcer, voiced by actress Laura Bailey, but a new development in Ultimax has caused her persona, Himiko, to take on a form that's capable of combat.

In terms of fighting style, Rise rocks her microphone stand and can summon orbs that act as satellites around her, adding hits to her combos. One of her super combos involves her frantically slapping the opponent in the face several times in a comical manner. We're loving it.

Watch the trailer above and await the release of Persona 4 Arena Ultimax for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in Fall 2014.
