New Video Game Releases – May 2013
The New Video Game Releases roster for May 2013 is looking a bit sparse. It is only until the middle to end of the month that we really start to see some heavy hitters.
Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon is the would-be April Fools prank that just happened to turn out to be real. Somehow Far Cry 3 has been tarted up to become a strange cyberpunk take on the Escape movies. Even if it doesn't star Kurt Russell, we'll still give the strange game a shot.
The middle of the month will give us Metro: Last Light, the successor to enjoyable but murderous Metro 2033. Hopefully most of the kinks have been sorted out this time around and Metro: Last Light plays better than the original but doesn't lose any of the engrossing character and personality.
Right at the end of the month is when we're finally given a crack at the new co-op shooter from Insomniac games. Fuse looks to be like Borderlands if Borderlands took itself a bit more seriously. Fuse should treat us to some spectacularly explosive co-op action that we could desperately use before engrossing ourselves in single-player games this June. Last of Us anyone?
