New SMT: Soul Hackers Trailer Shows Off 3DS Demon Hunting

Atlus' newest trailer for Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner - Soul Hackers shows off demon hunting gameplay mechanics.

The SMT series is pretty versatile, and has allowed Atlus to craft a whole bunch of different franchises based around the core concept of demon hunting/collection. This latest entry is a spin-off of the Devil Summoner brand, and is a first-person dungeon crawler. As you can see in the trailer below, Soul Hackers combines cyberpunk sensibilities with straight-up gothic horror, which provides quite an interesting dynamic. The fully-animated cut scenes look great (even though we barely get to see them), and it'll be interesting to see just what improvements this latest entry has over the previous Devil Summoner.

SMT:DS - Soul Hackers is due out on April 16th for the Nintendo 3DS.
