At their E3 press conference, Microsoft announced Inside, a 2D platform adventure game that will appear first on Xbox One, and gave us our first look at game footage.

After four years in development, Inside, an atmospheric spiritual successor to Limbo, is finally being released on Xbox One sometime next year. Little is known about the game, but what we've seen so far is a hauntingly beautiful dystopian world, a child protagonist, and gameplay that, at first glance, reminds us of developer Playdead's last title, Limbo, and Out of This World. Expect puzzles, platforming and a somber, moody tone throughout.
