The cowardly undead knight, Sir Daniel Fortesque, could be getting his first console game in over 15 years, as a new MediEvil reportedly heads to PlayStation 4.

One of the first system-defining games for the PS-One, the undead action-adventure hack 'n slash title MediEvil is rumored to be making a return, GamesRadar reports. While the weeks prior to E3 are always filled with all kinds of rumors, the source of this information caught us by surprise. Twitter user BLUE_EYES leaked this information, providing various images of what looks like a MediEvil game rendered using current-gen tech. The first of these Tweets (provided below) features a message from BLUE_EYES that translates to "I think E3 will return an old friend." The user has posted multiple pictures of this new MediEvil project as well as two videos on YouTube that have now been set to private.

We know what you're thinking, "anyone could have made those pictures and this guy could have just reposted them." NeoGAF users identified BLUE_EYES to be the same person who leaked accurate info about Shadow of the Colossus onto forums 10 years ago. BLUE_EYES has successfully leaked Sony Computer Entertainment info in the past, but we'll still reserve judgment until E3 2015, which keeps getting closer and closer. With Xbox focusing on first-party IPs, we're glad to hear that some of Sony's gaming franchises are rising from the grave... again. Stay tuned as we'll provide up-to-date coverage on this potential project once more information is revealed.
