The penultimate episode of Dontnod Entertainment's time-travelling adventure hit, Life is Strange, is launching next week.

Dontnod's episodic adventure game is back, as Maxine Caulfield and Chloe Price (voiced by Ashly Burch of Hey Ash Whatcha Playin' fame) continue the search for their missing friend, Rachel Amber. While Maxine continues to deal with her time-jumping powers, her visions of Arcadia Bay being destroyed in a massive storm still seem like they're going to happen. Max and Chloe have to try and prevent a major tragedy while investigating Rachel's disappearance. Unfortunately, Maxine's time-travelling escapades have unforeseen consequences in a butterfly effect-like manner. For example, saving someone in the past might end up horribly hurting someone else as a result, which makes us wonder what will happen if Rachel gets saved. Square Enix also announced the game has passed the one million sales mark, but did not specify if that was from all three previous episodes combined or just the sales of the first one

Here's Episode 4's synopsis from Dontnod:

In Episode 4, Max pushes the investigation surrounding the disappearance of Rachel Amber and the strange happenings in Arcadia Bay into unexplored and daunting territory. As the End of the World party approaches, Max must use her powers to put all the pieces of the puzzle in place. Max realizes that changing the past can lead to painful consequences and that time is not a great healer. Her investigation into the disappearance of Rachel Amber begins to reach a thrilling conclusion as she finds the Dark Room. Will the answers lie within? Or will there just be trouble?

Life is Strange: Episode 4 — Darkroom will launch on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC on July 28.
