Kirby's newest adventure, Kirby: Triple Deluxe, will feature a variety of new mechanics and powers, giving our favorite pink puff even more tools to play with.

The game's title might sound like a weird burger that comes with three patties and a mountain of bacon and onion rings, but it actually refers to Kirby's new ability to travel between the background and foreground. By the same token, his enemies can also do this, giving Kirby more reasons to keep alert and be aware of his surroundings.

Triple Deluxe will also introduce some new Copy powers that were created specifically for this game, such as a power that gives Kirby a Hercules beetle's horn and allows him to skewer multiple enemies on it before slamming them into oblivion.

As a bonus, Kirby: Triple Deluxe comes with two extra modes to expand the Kirby-flavored fun. The first is a multiplayer brawl in which each combatant picks 1 of 10 Copy abilities and dukes it out in the ring to see which one is the most powerful. The second new mode features King Dedede in a rhythm-based platformer that uses classic Kirby themes.

We'll have to wait until 2014 to play Kirby: Triple Deluxe, but it's looking mighty fun at the moment and we've yet to find a Kirby game that doesn't suck. Well, they all feature sucking but -- you know what we mean.
