Gears of War: Judgment VIP Season Pass Offers Benefits, Few Friends

Epic's Gears of War: Judgment will be getting the Season Pass treatment, but this time around there are added bonuses making the deal that much more enticing.

While most developers are content to allow their Season Passes to merely give players access to multiplayer maps or story content at a discounted price, Epic is stepping up its game with the Gears of War: Judgment VIP Season Pass.

For $20 (1600MSP), not only will you gain early access to add-ons (including six multiplayer maps, two new modes, and new weapon and armor skins), but you'll also be granted five exclusive armor and weapon skins. The big kicker though is the inclusion of permanent double experience for multiplayer. That's right; for a pair of sawbucks, you can earn XP twice as fast as everyone else in the multiplayer, giving you an extreme leg up on the competition.

All of those bonuses come at a 20 percent discount over what you would end up paying for the add-ons individually, with the added cheapness effects of double XP 24/7. It's not a bad deal, unless you happen to be the one guy in the clan who didn't purchase the VIP Season Pass. Then you'll just have to watch every single player outpace you in gear, weapons, perks, and whatever else the XP lets you unlock.

Gears of War: Judgment and the VIP Season Pass will be available on the Xbox 360 on March 19th.
