Activision community manager Dan Amrich took to his video blog to answer some questions about when to expect the first news about the next installment in the publisher's Call of Duty franchise.

Though the company is knee-deep in Black Ops 2, we're fast-approaching the time of year when Activision teases the next installment of Call of Duty. For the past few years, the first mention of a new entry has typically fallen during the start of the NBA playoffs in May. According to Amrich, that trend just may continue in 2013.

"We don't know what the future of Call of Duty will be, other than we know there will be a future," Amrich said. "We also have the interesting problem of new hardware coming. We've got the PlayStation 4, and we've got whatever Xbox is working on ... You have a lot of different factors going on this year."

Amrich went on to add he doesn't know when or where the first news on the next Call of Duty will arrive, but that it certainly wouldn't be out of the question for Activision to stick to the previous gameplan. With Microsoft rumored to be unveiling its next generation console in May as well, next month could prove to be a rather interesting one for announcements.

What do you hope to see from the next Call of Duty?
