Fire Emblem: Awakening sold over 180,000 copies in its first four weeks of release. Over 63,000 of those units were sold through the Nintendo 3DS eShop.

The previous title in the series, Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon, has sold over 250,000 copies in the United States. Nintendo of America illustrated that Fire Emblem: Awakening has sold 70% of that figure in just 28 days.

With a Metacritic score of 92, Fire Emblem: Awakening has the highest reviews of any 3DS game on the market. Etrian Odyssey IV: Legends of the Titan, which was released late last month, is second with a score of 82.

Fire Emblem: Awakening, released stateside on February 4th, debuts in Europe on April 19th.
