Final Fantasy Type-0 Trailer: War Can Change Sometimes

From the first scene of this Final Fantasy Type-0 trailer, we can see that this isn't the Final Fantasy experience we're used to having. This is a much darker tale, and hopefully it'll be the jolt that the series desperately needs.

The trailer starts with a man heavily wounded, covered in blood and unable to walk. We then see many different pictures of the bloody war we'll be waging, as well as a few quick shots of the heroes we'll be using to fight this war. The trailer ends with a brief teaser for the playable Final Fantasy XV demo, which will probably be worth the price of admission on its own.

Having recently tried Final Fantasy Type-0 at New York Comic Con, we can say with certainty that this will be a completely different Final Fantasy than the turn-based games of yesteryear. The format is different, the types of enemies are different, and most of all the game will be much more difficult than before. This may be the closest Final Fantasy gets to Dark Souls, so fans of that incredibly difficult series may find a new home with Type-0.

Everyone will be able to experience this new Final Fantasy when Type-0 launches March 17 for Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
