Final Fantasy 7 on PS4 to Cost $6 More than PSN Port

Shinra is out for gil -- the PS4 port of the Steam version of Final Fantasy VII will cost $6 more than the current PSN version available for PS3 and PS Vita.

Kotaku reports that Square Enix has revealed the PlayStation 4 port of Final Fantasy VII will cost $16. As of this report, the Steam port of FFVII for PC costs $12 and the PlayStation Network edition (for PS3, PS Vita and PSP) costs $10. The upcoming PS4 version of Final Fantasy VII will be a port of the Steam edition. This means that FFVII on PS4 will have slightly enhanced graphics compared to the PSN ports since this was an optimized version of the PC game released a year after the PS One original. The PSN version of the game is based off of the FFVII's PS One release.

While no release date has been set, we can expect Cloud to return on PlayStation 4 sometime next spring.
