PC gamers everywhere have always had the short end of the police baton when it came to Grand Theft Auto releases. What are some of them doing to fix the problem? Why, they've started a petition for a PC release of Grand Theft Auto V, of course.

The Grand Theft Auto series is famous for having late releases on PC, much to the dismay of Rockstar fans with awesome rigs. Grand Theft Auto III, the game that launched the series' prominence in the modern gaming era, didn't see a PC release until a full year after the initial console debut.

An intrepid fan named Mike Julliard from the mystical land of Canada saw fit to rectify this with a petition on change.org. You can read his impassioned letter below, which lets Rockstar Games know how big of a deal it is for GTA: V to grace PCs, if only for the sweet mods. The release date for the game is slated for Q2 of 2013 on both PS3 and the Xbox 360. If Julliard and his growing number of supporters (currently at 120,364 as of this writing), are successful, we might see "PC" added to that list.
