Eminem to perform in Fortnite for special event
Eminem is set to take to the digital stage in Fortnite.
Players can catch a glimpse of 'The Real Slim Shady' during the game's 'Big Bang' event on December 2, and will even be able to purchase a skin of the rapper so they can get "Victory Royales" as the 'Lose Yourself' star.
In an X post, Eminem, 51, teased his performance in the title, captioning a video of Fortnite playing on a television set: "Calling all grandmas 12.2".
The star's performance in a couple of weeks will put him among big names to take to the stage in Fortnite, including Ariana Grande, Travis Scott and Marshmello.
The studio behind the popular battle royale game, Epic Games, announced 'The Big Bang' in a separate message on X, in which they promised it to be "unforgettable".
The developer also teased that the event would be "evolving all things as you know them", as well as a "memorable reveal towards the end".
Epic Games will be hoping to replicate the success of the previous update, where a jaw-dropping 44.7 million players log in on a single day, which the studio dubbed it as "the biggest day in Fortnite's history".
In an X post, Epic gushed about the event and thanked their fans for their support.
They wrote: "Way to start things off with a big bang.
"We're blown away by the response to #FortniteOG.
"Yesterday was the biggest day in Fortnite's history with over 44.7 MILLION players jumping in and 102 MILLION hours of play. (sic)"
