We have finally gotten a release date for Dragon Age: Inquisition's Jaws of Hakkon expansion for PS4, PS3 and Xbox 360.

Xbox's timed exclusivity deal with EA on Dragon Age: Inquisition's Jaws of Hakkon DLC is finally ending, meaning that everyone else will finally be able to download this Rift-breaking expansion. Many of us were upset that we wouldn't be able to participate in the DLC yet. Then again, there are still dozens of hours of side missions for us to finish still throughout Thedas before we embark on a new adventure.

The Jaws of Hakkon DLC will deal with the ancient, feral tribe of the Avvars. These war- and winter-embracing people have a long history in Thedas' past, going all the way back to before the First Blight. Those akin to Dragon Age lore should recognize that Andraste, the religious prophet worshiped as a deity throughout Thedas, was originally married to Marefath, the Avvars' leader. Unfortunately, a war with the Tevinter Imperium led to Marefath having to choose the lives of his people over the his beloved, resulting in Andraste being burned alive and becoming a martyr. Since then, the Avvars have been widely despised for the actions of Marefath, so they live in the harsh north of Thedas, away from civilization. Hakkon is one of their main deities, and is likely going to be a ginormous dragon we'll have to kill as we retrace the previous Inquisitor's steps into this harsh land.

Dragon Age: Inquisition's Jaws of Hakkon expansion will launch for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on May 26 for the price of $14.99. It will also include some free legendary pieces of gear to get us ready for the frozen north.
