Dengeki Bunko Trailer: Sega’s Crossover Fighter Gets a Western Release

Sega's crossover fighting game brings characters from Valkyria Chronicles, Virtua Fighter, Sword Art Online and other famous franchises together for one massive brawl.

Previously, Dengeki Bunko: Fighting Climax was a Japanese exclusive having come out as an arcade game first and more recently for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita, but now Sega announced on the PlayStation Blog that it's coming to the West. This 2D fighting game features characters who starred in light novels from Dengeki Bunko's collection, such as Sword Art Online, Accel World, A Certain Magical Index and Daurarara!! There are also characters from Valkyria Chronicles and Virtua Fighter thrown into the mix.

There will be two different game modes featured in this fighter, classic arcade and Dream Duel. Dream Duel allows players to dive deeper into the crossover of these light novel fantasy worlds. This will all be set against classic Sega backdrops to give the player a feel closer to home. Classic arcade is exactly what it sounds like in terms of a more traditional fighting game approach.

Get ready to see your favorite characters playing together this summer on PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita when Dengeki Bunko: Fighting Climax debuts in the West.
