Dark Souls 2 Beta to Test Players’ Mettle

Namco Bandai has announced there will be a closed beta test for Dark Souls 2 coming in the near future. This is the perfect chance for fans looking to get the game to try before they die.

Details about the beta test and how to register to participate will go up on the Dark Souls Facebook Page on Sept. 5. Fans will want to hit the refresh button ad nauseam so they can get a chance to register quickly and be allowed to participate in the beta.

According to the press release, the beta will send players to a new area of the game where they will "experience overwhelming enemy encounters, diabolical challenges, and the unrelenting difficultly that only the developers at FromSoftware can deliver."

Sounds like fun on a bun for all of you sadists -- err, we mean "fans of Dark Souls." Let us know if you'll be aiming to participate in this test. Dark Souls 2 will be released in March 2014 for the PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
