Crypt of the Necrodancer to Launch With Two Remixed In-Game Soundtracks
Brace Yourself Games is aptly named, as Crypt of the Necrodancer is launching this week for PC with two remixed soundtracks you can unlock in-game.
If you check out Crypt of the Necrodancer's Steam page, you will notice that the game not only has the standard edition up for sale, but also an edition with a soundtrack as well as the downloadable content of the soundtrack by itself. Brace Yourself Games has announced that not only will Crypt of the Necrodancer will be releasing with two different remixes of the soundtrack that you can unlock in-game. The original soundtrack of the game is known for its accolades as it is not only written by the one and only Danny Baranowsky of Super Meat Boy fame, but it's also won awards.
The other two soundtracks are remixed by A_Rival and FamilyJules7X. A_Rival's version of the soundtrack (which you unlock via starting a New Game+) will make you want to get up and dance, since he is the producer from the EDM trio Super Square. This remix will be super hardcore, but also make you feel like you're in some sort of nerd-inspired retro club. Of course he draws his inspiration from idols such as Feed Me, Will Sparks and Deadmau5. FamilyJules7X on the other hand will have you headbanging with his metal-inspired remix of the original soundtrack (via playing New Game ++). FamilyJules7X is a metal guitarist and arranger from Massachusetts who's known for his video game metal covers that you can check out on his YouTube channel.
Brace Yourself Games also conveniently released two samples for the remixes (you can find A_Rival's sample here and FamilyJules7X's sample here) that you can entertain yourself with while you wait for Crypt of the Necrodancer to release on Steam on April 23.
