Visceral Games' Battlefield Hardline is leaving the police academy soon and this launch trailer celebrates its first shootout.

The cops in Battlefield Hardline don't care about the millions of dollars of damage that they're doing, as long as it means that they catch the bad guys. In the trailer above, you can check out some of the crazy action that you can expect in this upcoming first-person shooter. Now is the time to choose a side — you can either fight for the blue as a cop or the green as a criminal. The war on drugs won't stop unless you make it in Battlefield Hardline, but it doesn't necessarily mean it's in your job description to make it stop either. The Force may not be full of the straight edge heroes that everyone sees them as, but it will be your job to decide if you're fighting as a bad cop or the worse cop. Either way, you gotta stop for donuts on the way. How dirty will you get when you try to take on organized crime? Let's just say, things are about to get gritty.

Battlefield Hardline will follow the war on drugs throughout California where you will play as officer Nick Mendoza, who is desperately trying to shut down the cartels with his partner, Khai Minh Dao. It is set to launch on March 17 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC.
