At Gamescom 2015, Ubisoft released a new trailer for Assassin's Creed Syndicate, featuring the twin assassins, Evie and Jacob Frye.

Assassin's Creed Syndicate's new trailer showcases the familial bond between Jacob and Evie Frye as these twins put their lives on the line in order to liberate London from the control of the Templar Order. We get a good look at a few new aspects of Syndicate's gameplay, including the revolver and cane weapons. The trailer also showcases the parkour and building climbing shenanigans that have become a staple of the series. Both twins appear to be dedicated to the cause, though Evie is more embracing of modern technology and industrial progress as opposed to Jacob, who is more about eradicating the Templar and the survival of his bruvs.

While this trailer looks pretty good, I'm still skeptical and not quite sold on Syndicate so far. With all the issues and controversies surrounding Assassin's Creed Unity, Ubisoft should've taken its time in regards to Syndicate's development. Instead, Syndicate is launching less than a year after Unity launched. I think that releasing nine main games and 13 spin-off titles during the past 8 years of the franchise is a bit much, and perhaps it's time for Ubisoft to slowdown production on Assassin's Creed games in order to ensure quality over quantity.

Assassin's Creed Syndicate will launch on Oct. 23 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
