The first expansion for XCOM: Enemy Unknown is due out this November, and now you can get your first look at the upgrades and new alien forces you'll encounter in this latest trailer.

The good news is XCOM: Enemy Within is going to be a massive bit of downloadable content. The bad news is it will only be available as DLC on the PC. Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 players will have to pick up the XCOM: Enemy Unknown Commander's Edition to play it. "For the expansion on the PC, it was fairly straightforward," Garth DeAngelis, senior producer at Firaxis Games, told Joystiq at PAX. "But when it came to the consoles, it was too big. If we wanted to deliver the same content to the console players, we had to do it this way as a standalone expansion on a disc. We couldn't simply just patch it in."

Still, more content for Enemy Unknown is good. The base game was a brilliant re-imagining of the classic franchise, and this expansion should only further solidify the case for one of the best games of the past year. Check out the trailer, and let us know if you'll be rejoining the fight on Nov. 12.
