Respawn Entertainment has more modes and additional content for Titanfall in the works, but after a while it will be moving on to new, unannounced projects.

OXM UK reports that Respawn is planning to add more gameplay modes and additional features to Titanfall as free updates over Xbox Live, even after its IMC Rising DLC map pack launches this fall. The developer also mentions that after a certain point, it will reallocate its staff and resources away from focusing on Titanfall and onto the company's upcoming, unannounced projects.

"Alongside the paid DLC maps we have been doing free content updates, with the next one being on I think the 6th?" said Abbie Heppe, Respawn Entertainment's community manager. "So we do have some plans to release some more free content, we've got some cool new modes on the way. But at a certain point, we are going to have to wind down so that we can move on and do other things."

"Because we've done a lot of post launch [support], I mean - six months of updates plus, and that includes Titan Burn Cards, the Insignias for Titans, the Black Market as well as all the normal hotfixes and weapon tweaks and stuff like that, so yeah, at a certain point we've got to give some people a break and then think about where we go next."

Earlier this summer, we reported that Respawn is apparently working on a third-person action game with guidance from Stig Asmussen, the former director of the God of War series. Heppe admits that Respawn will continue to monitor Titanfall and will address balancing issues, glitches and other basic types of online support whenever they are needed even when its staff members are reallocated.

IMC Rising is priced at $9.99 and will also be a part of Titanfall's season pass. It will include the Backwater, Sandtrap and Zone 18 maps and is due for an orbital drop sometime this fall.
