Guitar Hero

Guitar Hero was released on this day in 2005 and though there have arguably been better music games before and after it, Guitar Hero was the one that got mainstream audiences hyped to see what the genre had to offer.

Apple has revealed their new Apple TV, and Guitar Hero, Disney Infinity 3.0, Crossy Road and Harmonix's next game are all going to be playable on it.

After a four year hiatus, Activision has brought the band back together in Guitar Hero Live, which will feature live crowds, real band members, music videos, a new guitar and more.

Activision is likely bringing back Guitar Hero, as press outlets around the world have started receiving passes to a fictional rock festival called SoundDial.

While all you living room musicians out there are jonesing for more Rock Band info, Guitar Hero could be restringing for a new gig on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

It looks like Activision is restringing the Gibson and Rickenbacker for Guitar Hero's first major console release in five years.

Don't call it a come back, but you might be able to rock out in your living room once again as Guitar Hero is rumored to be making a return.
