State of Decay: Year-One Survival Edition Spreads the Infection in April
We already knew Undead Labs was bringing its update to State of Decay to the Xbox One this spring, but the developer just announced a new Day One edition would be available as well.
Announced on the Xbox Wire, State of Decay: Year-One Survival Edition is fast approaching, and with it comes with the opportunity to obtain the Prepper's Pack. The pack will include a supply drop mission that will include the SKS Firearm (a Soviet-era semi-automatic that's been souped up with a grenade launcher), a Prepper SUV (great storage and great zombie smooshing abilities) and the Folding Axe Melee Weapon (super sharp, great for cutting off heads). However, the supply drop won't come easy. If you want to reap the rewards, you've gotta be prepared. Essentially, go equipped with your best gear or die trying.
This will also be the first time that the game will be available for Xbox One, as previously it was an Xbox 360 and PC exclusive. It's no wonder that the game is coming to a current gen platform when it sold so well on a previous gen. The Xbox One will open up new doors for the game -- better graphics being first and foremost, as well as the addition of the Lifeline and Bloodline add-on packs. Although the post doesn't go into detail about much else besides the Prepper's Pack, fans can rest assured that this new version will be worth the money, especially since players who already own State of Decay on Xbox 360 will get 33% off the Year-One Survival Edition when purchased through the Xbox Game Store until June 30.
Make sure to watch out for the game's official release on April 28 and, until then, brush up on your zombie stomping skills in preparation for the Prepper's Pack.
