Blizzard's Starcraft II is now the third-person-shooter you never knew you wanted thanks to some crafty modders.

Modders are awesome. They give us everything we want from games that the companies behind them are too busy (or lazy) to make themselves. Kotaku reports that modders have taken to Starcraft II and turned the game into a third-person-shooter. This isn't the first time that modders have taken a game and completely transformed it, but it's still pretty impressive. Recently, there has also been a mod to Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes that converted it to a first-person-shooter, but we're liking this one a little bit more.

The mod is called Psionic Warfare: Total Destruction, and well, the name doesn't lie. If you've ever wanted to look at Starcraft II in a completely different way, this is your chance. There will be five playable classes, four game modes and four arenas to battle your way through. Being that there are quite a few games out today that are based on mods of other games, such as League of Legends and DayZ, it will be interesting to see how far this mod goes. This could be the Starcraft: Ghosts that we always wished we had gotten.

If this mod sounds as interesting to you as it does to me, you can check out the trailer above for a more in-depth look or you can just jump right in and download the mod here for Starcraft II on PC.
