With another franchise title already in development, Square Enix has filed a trademark for yet another Deus Ex title.

Eurogamer reports that Square Enix trademarked Deus Ex: Mankind Divided. Last year, Square Enix claimed that they were working on Deus Ex: Universe, which would connect the series across a full generation of Deus Ex titles along with a possible integration with mobile Deus Ex titles. Square Enix has also confirmed that a Deus Ex title with a large budget is being developed for current consoles, which could possibly be the Mankind Divided project.

On the other hand, Mankind Divided could possibly be a mobile game, since Deus Ex: The Fall was released last year as a spin-off to Deus Ex: Human Revolution. This would mean that Mankind Divided could possibly be one of the mobile titles mean to integrate into the Universe system.

David Anfossi, head of Eidos Montreal, has said the following in regards to Deus Ex: Universe, "It's a commitment on our part to deliver meaningful content that expands the franchise on a regular basis and to deliver a deep conspiracy that will span several connected Deus Ex games, creating a more immersive and richer experience than ever before."

Anfossi has told Eurogamer that the upcoming, big-budgeted Deus Ex game will be coming for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Hopefully, this turns out to be Mankind Divided.
