A new challenger arrives! In an upcoming downloadable content update, you'll be able to play with your buds online in Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game.

And you'll also be able to play as a new character, Wallace Wells! Wells is Scott's gay roommate who's probably the coolest fictional Canadian ever.

The addition of online play is a welcome feature, since the game only supported local multiplayer before. Now you'll be able to run around a retrofied Toronto with players from all over the globe!

According to a post on Major Nelson's blog, the DLC will be released on the Xbox Live Marketplace on February 6th, 2013 at the cost of 160 Microsoft Points, which is the equivalent of $2.00.

No official word on whether or not the PlayStation 3 version will be getting the DLC, but we're sure PSN players will be able to game with their online friends as well.

Let us know if you'll be duking it out with other players online!
