One of the most stand-out features of the first Resident Evil: Revelations was its Raid Mode, a bonus mode which combined elements of MMORPGs with the run-and-gun gameplay of the action-horror series. Resident Evil: Revelations 2 looks to bring back the raids in a big way, with more missions, co-op options, weapons, skills, and more.

RE:R2's Raid Mode first comes as paid DLC split into multiple episodes, each offering new missions, characters, and other assorted content. If you're a Resident Evil fan, and are patient enough to wait, you can buy a physical disc copy which contains all Raid Mode episodes worth of content plus a few goodies the purely-digital players would have to pay extra for.

For those of you looking to level up and gun down undead monstrosities with your online friends, you'll have to wait a bit, as Raid Mode doesn't initially come with online capabilities. According to Capcom, however, online play will be added once the physical game is released in March, and you can still play offline split-screen with friends until then.
With new skills, weapons, maps, characters, and more, Resident Evil: Revelations 2's Raid Mode looks like a sure bet for anyone who was a fan of the original.

Resident Evil: Revelations 2 will be released on PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Xbox 360. The first episode is due to arrive on Feb. 24 for $5.99. The season pass for all four episodes will be available for $24.99. The disc version is set to arrive on March 17 for $39.99.
