Keiji Inafune is teaming up with developers who worked on the Metroid Prime trilogy to make the impressive-looking ReCore.

Now that development on Mighty No. 9 is starting to wrap up, Xbox has announced that Keiji Inafune and Comcept will be working with Armature Studio on ReCore. In ReCore, you play as one of the last humans left on Earth who must utilize robot companions to survive a dangerous environment filled with many hostile machines. Luckily, the orb which carries the essence of your companion can be transplanted into other machines, letting you change what kind of robot you have at your side. Armature is comprised of developers who previously worked on the Metroid Prime trilogy. As a studio, they worked on the ports of The Unfinished Swan, Borderlands: The Handsome Collection and Metal Gear Solid HD Collection.

ReCore is expected to launch in Q2 2016 for Xbox One.
