Project X Zone Drops 50 Characters For A Nintendo 3DS Summer
Namco Bandai Games America Inc. launches Project X Zone this summer on the Nintendo 3DS. The strategy/RPG title, featuring legacy characters from Capcom, Sega, and Namco Bandai titles, is developed by Banpresto and Monolith Soft.
With over 50 characters culled from 29 game franchises, Project X Zone enables players to create a team of two fighters named the Pair Unit. Another character known as a solo unit will join the Pair Unit to help in Solo Attacks as well as give players a diversity of fighting options during their epic battles. Gamers can also create support attacks, cross hits, and finishing moves to vanquish their foes.
"Project X Zone is the first title to ever combine such a large cast of characters from a varied list of game franchises into one grand adventure," said Namco Bandai Games America Inc. Marketing VP Carlson Choi. "Developing a cohesive game and storyline to encompass all of these great characters and their battle styles was a huge challenge that has paid off greatly with the creation of a truly unique and groundbreaking gaming experience."
Tekken's Jin and Xiaoyu, Shining Force EXA's Toma and Cyrille, and Megan Man X's X and Zero are among the characters featured in Project X Zone, as these characters find themselves crossing paths when a doorway opens to a number of different universes.
This game will be coming to the 3DS in the summer of 2013, so get ready for the crossover chaos!
