Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire Bundle Announced

While Xbox is doing all sorts of crazy bundles and discounts, Nintendo has decided to package Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire together for the special price of $79.98. Wait, what?

Nintendo has announced that it will be releasing the Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire Dual Pack exclusively at Best Buy and Amazon. While each game sells for the suggested retail price of $39.99, the Dual Pack, which includes both Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, will sell for $79.98. This gives you the exclusive discount total of $0.00. Yes, this is the equivalent of buying both games at the same time, which plenty of Pokemon Masters do with the release of each new Pokemon set (it's the only way you can truly catch them all anyway).

So what's so special about the Pokemon ORAS Dual Pack? You get a pair of in-game download codes that can be redeemed for 100 potions in each game. Sure, having 100 potions is nice to travel through the Hoenn region, but come on Nintendo, potions was the best you could do? We're rather letdown that some kind of exclusive Pokemon outside of the ORAS games wasn't included, or some other nice incentive.

Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire will launch in stores and on the Nintendo eShop on Nov. 21. Best Buy and Amazon will start selling the Pokemon ORAS Dual Pack on this date as well.
