Taking place three years after 'Persona 4: The Animation', Yu Narukami is back to deal with the TV World and his Persona powers.

At first glance, we thought that 'Persona 4 the Golden Animation' was going be an anime simply based off of Persona 4: The Golden for PS Vita. The handheld game was an expanded version of the original PlayStation 2 version of Persona 4. This would suggest that 'Persona 4 the Golden Animation' would be a remake the original 2011 anime series. Instead, this trailer for the Golden Animation claims that the it acts as a sequel to the story, taking place three years after and introducing the PS Vita add-on character, Marie. We can't wait to see what kinds of new tales Yu will encounter with the Velvet Room's assistant, Marie, at his side.

'Persona 4 the Golden Animation' will start streaming on July 10 for Hulu, Crunchyroll, Aniplex and Daisuki. No specific time has been set just yet, but don't rule out a 12AM launch.
