No. 4 – Manhunt 2 – Every Execution

There is purpose to the violence in Manhunt 2. Each execution is finely detailed to produce the most horrified reaction from the player. It functions well to put the player in a disturbing situation, forcing them to do unspeakable things. But, even though each of these kill moves are a bit over the top, they still elicit a sharp intake of breath followed by someone muttering, “That’s gotta hurt.”  Each and every one of these is difficult to watch even though you know it is just a bunch of one’s and zero’s. For making us uncomfortable in every possible way, Manhunt 2 makes it onto our list of 10 Gruesome Video Game Deaths.
