Nintendo Reveals New Indie Games for the 3DS and Wii U in 2015
Nintendo has revealed a bunch of indie titles coming to the 3DS and Wii U, including Adventures of Pip, Mutant Mudds Super Challenge, Don't Starve, Octodad and more.
While the Nintendo Direct Conference brought about a lot of information about a lot of our favorite games, it also brought about information on some incoming indie games that are of note, such as Adventures of Pip, Mutant Mudds Super Challenge, Don't Starve: Giant Edition and Octodad: Dadliest Catch. These four games, although pretty different from each other, are still definitely notable and something you should be on the lookout for. There are other indie games coming that you should definitely give a chance as well.
Adventures of Pip will take the player through a pixel puzzle platforming experience that will exclusively use the GamePad to travel through the game's world. You will play as Pip, the unsuspecting hero of the story who will battle his heart out to make sure he defeats his enemies.
Next up is Mutant Mudds Super Challenge, which will bring about some new stages, a new difficulty level and five unique worlds to the original Mutant Mudds experience. Players who have already purchased Mutant Mudds can get a loyalty discount on this version when it comes out for the Nintendo 3DS and Wii U. Plus, if you buy the game for Wii U you will get a free version for Nintendo 3DS and vice versa (finally, cross-buy for Nintendo).
Then there's Don't Starve: Giant Edition coming to the Wii U. It will have exclusive GamePad functionality and if you buy the Wii U game you will receive a free download code to give the entire game to a friend as a bonus gift.
Finally, there's Octodad: Dadliest Catch, which will be coming out for Wii U. Do your best to blend in with the humans, but it's hard when you're an invertebrate with tentacles for limbs.
You can catch Adventures of Pip on Wii U in May, Mutant Mudds Super Challenge on Wii U and Nintendo 3DS this June, Don't Starve: Giant Edition on Wii U sometime in the future and Octodad: Dadliest Catch on Wii U this summer.
Here are a bunch of other indie games coming to Nintendo consoles this year, including Nova-111, Life of Pixel, Affordable Space Adventure, DOOORS, Race the Sun and The Bridge:
