New Fatal Frame Title Coming to Wii U
Get your cameras ready, because we're in for one ghastly photo shoot.
CVG reports (via Famitsu) that Nintendo and Tecmo Koei have come to an agreement and have announced that there is a new entry in the photo-taking, ghost-busting Fatal Frame series that is being developed for the Wii U. The latest entry of the series, Zero: Tsukihami no Kamen (the Fatal Frame series is known as Project Zero in Japan), was released exclusively for Nintendo Wii in 2008 but never saw any official release in North America.
Recently, there was a Wii remake of Fatal Frame 2 that never hit North America either. Luckily, Fatal Frame 2 was added to the PS3's PlayStation Network in 2013. There was also a Project Zero spin-off, Spirit Camera: The Cursed Memoir, that was released in 2012 for Nintendo 3DS that actually had a worldwide release but was met with abysmal reviews from Fatal Frame fans and newcomers alike.
Hopefully this new entry in the Fatal Frame series will properly utilize the Wii U's GamePad and utilize a viewfinder on the touchpad while still properly scaring the hell out of us along the way.
