The very first gameplay from the upcoming online component for Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain debuted at the Game Awards, and it was full of snakes.

It's been a little while since we've had any updates on Metal Gear Solid V, but Hideo Kojima and Kiefer Sutherland showed up do debut some new footage from the multiplayer component, Metal Gear Online. Though the clip above is certainly short, it does offer quite a bit of insight into what we can expect from co-op in MGS V.

As you can see, the lead player (Snake) leads a team of more customized (generic) soldiers to infiltrate a base to obtain some data. It looks fairly run of the mill from a gameplay standpoint, though there are some nifty MGS twists like active camo and decoys as well. There's even a little Metal Gear in there, too, for good measure.

Check out the footage above, and get ready to experience Metal Gear Online... whenever Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain arrives. Hopefully in 2015.
