The two free games being offered for Xbox Live Gold account members designate castle defending as a top priority.

The Xbox Wire announced Sid Meier's Civilization Revolution and Dungeon Defenders are both going to be free downloads for the month of March for those with an Xbox Live Gold account. Sid Meier's Civilization Revolution is the 2008 straight-to-console entry of the Civilization franchise. On the other hand, Dungeon Defenders is a relatively new iOS game that was ported over to the Xbox Live Arcade in 2011.

Unfortunately, this marks yet another month where the Xbox One does not have any type of free download being offered in conjunction with the Free Games with Gold program. Nothing the comparison between these two underwhelming titles to the likes of what PlayStation Plus is offering its subscribers for March, and a huge difference can be found in quality and quantity for the offerings of the two online services.

Hopefully, April will turn out to be a much more generous month from Microsoft for its Gold subscribers. especially for its subscribers who exclusively own an Xbox One. Given the increasing number of PlayStation Plus subscribers and the staggering amount of PlayStation 4 systems being sold compared to the Xbox One, Microsoft needs to pull out all the stops if it wants to return to being neck-and-neck with Sony yet again.
