Max Rockatansky has avenged his family, saved the wastelands and traveled beyond the Thunderdome. After Mad Max visits Fury Road, he'll rev his engine and gun it towards his video game debut this summer.

Avalanche Studios has undertaken the job of taking a beloved movie franchise and making it into a video game and now that Mad Max is slowly getting closer to its release date, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has announced that there will be some perks for fans who pre-order it. Say hello, to Max's new car, "The Ripper," which is his Magnum Opus ride with a souped up V8 engine, upgraded exhaust, custom off-road tires, a ramming grill and a tuned suspension. Basically, if you've ever daydreamed about what the perfect car to run over your enemies and generally wreak havoc in a post-apocalyptic world would be like, Avalanche Studios has just handed you the keys. Avalanche Studios has also revealed the game's box art, which you can check out below.

You will play as Mad Max on his quest to stay alive in the wastelands despite the plethora of savage bandits who are constantly trying to fillet him alive. Max will be joined by Chumbucket, an awesome mechanic, in an attempt to keep both of them alive by using Chumbucket's car enhancing skills and Mad Max's propensity towards violence and destruction. You can expect Mad Max to arrive on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on Sept 1. Seeing that Avalanche Studios isn't rushing to make sure this game doesn't meet the theatrical debut of Mad Max: Fury Road is a very good sign.
