The newest trailer for LittleBigPlanet 3, revealed today at Gamescom, spotlights the upcoming game’s massive array of creation tools and features.

LittleBigPlanet 3 will include 29 enhanced tools that appeared in LBP and LBP 2, 10 tools from LittleBigPlanet PS Vita and 70 brand new tools. Add in 141 unchanged tools from the first two games, and LittleBigPlanet 3 boasts a whopping 250 creation tools that can be used on levels and characters. The tools will be put to good use on LittleBigPlanet 3’s levels, which feature 16 playable, customizable layers, and a new Dynamic Thermometer feature that allows levels to be significantly larger than in any previous game in the series. All creation tasks can now be performed on the DualShock 4’s touchpad, allowing for more precise and fluid creation for levels and characters. Created levels can be joined together to form Adventure maps that contain their own unique quests.

LittleBigPlanet 3 features three new playable characters, each with their own special abilities that aid Sackboy on his adventures. All of these characters can be customized to not only look different, but also given new abilities and handling properties on created levels. Sackboy will receive a unique creation tool that adds a blaster handle to almost any object, turning mundane items into weapons.

Sharing created levels has always been a big part of the LittleBigPlanet franchise, and LittleBigPlanet 3 brings a new addition to the practice. Players can now create trailers for their levels, helping creators get more exposure for their designs while making it easier for players to see exactly what they’re downloading.

LittleBigPlanet 3 is set for a Nov. 18 release on PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4.
