The crew over at Dontnod Entertainment is gearing up for its newest game, Life is Strange, and made an emotion-inducing trailer to go with it.

Dontnod Entertainment has been well underway developing its episodic adventure game, Life is Strange, since its reveal earlier in August. Now, it has an awesome trailer to show its fans. The trailer takes you through the seemingly everyday life of main character Maxine Caulfied.

As she walks around her school with some seriously deep music playing in the background and quotes from game rating sites flashing across the screen, Maxine suddenly sees a girl getting shot in the chest. Just in case we missed it, the trailer shows us Maxine's ability to rewind time and gives its viewers a few seconds to catch up with what's going on.

Square Enix claims its new game will "revolutionize story based choice and consequence games by allowing the player to rewind time and affect the past, present and future." It seems that Maxine will be able to change what happens around her by the decisions she makes until she reaches a cut-off checkpoint.

If you're curious about this new decision-based game you can check out Life is Strange's first episode when it launches on Jan. 30 for PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One with four other episodes to launch every six weeks after the premier episode.
