The studio that gave us Worms is bringing in the fuzz with LA Cops, a 3D top-down shooter.

Not much is known about this mysterious and funky new game from Team17 other than it's an LAPD story set in the 1970s. The game is about to go onto Steam Early Access, but the only access we've been given to LA Cops is in the form of a few YouTube videos and Team17 tweets. Nevertheless, LA Cops looks pretty badass, in a donut-dunking, Dirty Harry sort of way.

"LA Cops is a fast, action packed 3D top down shooter set to a theme of 70s [sic] Cops in LA trying to do a tough job in a tough town," says a Team17 representative.

The game gives you a bunch of objectives that you have to take care of, and by "take care of" we mean shoot a bunch of criminals right in the face. With classic names like Murphy and Kowalski you know you're in for a treat just hearing the bad Italian accents that are featured in the game. The most exciting thing about this upcoming shooter aren't its bell bottoms or mustaches, but that it's coming to Xbox One. Now, you'll be able to take out criminals, destroy drug labs and get some super awesome achievements on your big screen.

Light up the sirens, LA Cops is out now for Steam Early Access and will be tumbling onto Xbox One on March 13.
