Zelda's longtime guardian returns to take on hordes of Moblins along with some other franchise favorites in Hyrule Warriors.

These two trailers depict some new ways for you to dispatch Ganon's legions in Hyrule Warriors. In this first trailer, we see Link wielding the Fire Rod. This item has only appeared in The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, Four Swords Adventures, The Minish Cap and A Link Between Worlds, but it still proves to be a formidable weapon in Hyrule. When Link wields the Fire Rod, his trademark sword and shield are actually gone, hinting that you're sacrificing the ability to block and slash around you for this weapon's ranged attacks. Link can use the Fire Rod for a variety of uses, including combos -- watching the Hylian hero blast waves of fire onto the enemy masses was quite impressive.

The other new trailer for Hyrule Warriors features Impa, who has been appearing throughout The Legend of Zelda series as the Princess' longtime servant and protector. Hyrule Warriors' interpretation of Impa has her a lot younger and sleeker than previous incarnations, and she wields a massive, curved sword to boot. She also has the ability to use water magic, which offers her a variety of ranged attacks.

According to Siliconera, this week's issue of Famitsu magazine revealed that Argorok, the winged boss from the City in the Sky dungeon, and Zant, the arcane magic-wielding antagonist, are both going to appear in Hyrule Warriors. These two bosses from The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess are likely to appear as enemies in some form or another in the game. Famitsu also revealed that Agitha, the female friend of Link from Twilight Princess, will be a playable character. Agitha will use a parasol as her main weapon and has the ability to summon bugs to help her fight.

Lastly, it is said that there is an original character being added to the roster, Lana the White Witch. Given her name, we have a feeling that she's the female from the game's Japanese box art.
