Halo: Nightfall Trailer: Our First Look At The Live-Action Series
A new two and a half minute preview for Ridley Scott's live-action series 'Halo: Nightfall' has emerged, and it's exactly what we'd expect from a Halo live-action series: shooting aliens on foreign planets.
The sneak peek gives us some background on the character of Agent Locke straight from actor Mike Colter's mouth as well as a few other members of Locke's ONI team, including Talitha Macer (played by Christina Chong). There's a few action scenes interspersed throughout, with one particular moment of a humanoid figure seemingly melting into thousands of tiny bug-like creatures sticking out in our minds. It's a short preview of the series, but it does its job of getting us excited to watch very well.
One thing we do worry about, however, is the consistent presence of that washed-out grey color. It feels like almost every scene plays out in that really dull backdrop, save for a few snippets of a yellow lit hallway or a green tinged hospital. We get that the series is called 'Nightfall' but we didn't think it would mean the color of night is constantly surrounding us. Halo has a knack for injecting bright colors into its shooting parties, and we're hoping this live-action version can do the same.
'Halo: Nightfall' launches as part of Halo: The Master Chief Collection on Nov. 11.
Night may fall, but we heard Master Chief doesn't afraid of anything.
