Good Gaming Announces $10,000 Hearthstone Tournament
If you've been brushing up on your Hearthstone skills, then we've got some good news -- Good Gaming and Blizzard Entertainment are hosting a Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft -- Amateur Open Tournament.
Players of Hearthstone better be building their decks just right so they can get in on the action when Blizzard and Good Gaming's Amateur Open Tournament rolls around. What can you expect? You can expect to win over $10,000 in cash and prizes, that's what. The tournament will have a series of Constructed Play Phases where each player will need to bring and declare constructed decks. These decks will be used throughout the single elimination tournament where each match will play to the best of five to declare an overall winner.
The finals for the Amateur Open will begin on Dec. 21 and be streamed live on Good Gaming's official Twitch channel. As far as announcements go, "the tournament finals will be shoutcased by renowned casters and eSports personalities Kevin Knocke and Ken Mitts."
If you're interested in entering, you have to make sure that you're a registered member of Good Gaming by Thursday, Dec. 18. While you will have to pay at least $5 to become a member, you will get free entry into the Tournament after registering as well as 1,000 Good Gaming points to be used throughout the site.
The qualifiers for the tournament will begin on Dec. 19, which gives you just enough time to quit panicking and set up your decks.
