Two of our favorite fantasy franchises, Game of Thrones and The Legend of Zelda, collide in this Link to the Past-inspired mashup, 'Game of Hyrule.'

YouTube user Megasteakman  has posted this awesome mashup (courtesy of Destructoid), which takes Game of Thrones' unforgettable intro and gives it a Hylian twist. Instead of seeing King's Landing, the Wall, Winterfell and the Dothraki Sea rise in a steampunk-like, mechanized fashion, we see the landmarks of the Light World version of Hyrule from The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. Every major landmark in Hyrule is featured, including Link's house, Hyrule Castle, Death Mountain, Kakariko Village and even the Lost Woods. Looming above Hyrule is the same twisting globe featured in the Game of Thrones intro, but instead of having the Lannister, Baratheon, Greyjoy and Stark sigils and banners emblazoned it, we see some familiar icons across Hylian lore.

Megasteakman created this Hylian version of the Game of Thrones intro by using Cinema 4D using Octane Render. This Zelda-esque take on the Game of Thrones theme song was done by composer Mattia Cupelli, which perfectly fits this awesome collabo. Great work to both of you guys, we had to go back and forth between watching the HBO series' official intro and this video to see if the camera shifts matched. We're impressed — if Link could say anything other than grunts and screams, we're sure that he'd congratulate Megasteakman and Cupelli on a job well done.

This one is still our favorite though:
