Evolution Teases Free DriveClub DLC for Launch Woes
Evolution Studios is trying to make good on its word by giving a free DLC pack to DriveClub owners.
DriveClub's official Facebook page has revealed some of the new cars and other features that the game will be getting for free next week in the upcoming Ignition Expansion Pack. The Ignition Expansion Pack was originally going to be a part of the game's Season Pass and be available as paid DLC. Instead, Evolution Studios has decided to make this DLC public for all of the game's players and to add a new expansion pack later on to make up for the Ignition Expansion going free. The Ignition Expansion DLC will be released for free as an apology for the game's ongoing server issues.
A social media rep for Evolution Studios had the following to say about DriveClub's unresolved issues:
Work continues on the server improvements as our priority, and everyone on the team who is able to work on this (or help) is focused exclusively on fixing the server issues. The other members of the team are working on game updates to make DRIVECLUB better for you and new packs to add more cars, tours and trophies to the game. We're also working on new features like dynamic weather and replays as well as many other improvements to the game based on your feedback. We'll give you an update on all of this soon.
The Ignition Expansion Pack debuts next week and will include the Renault TwinRun, Caterham SP/300R, BMW M4 and more.
We would bring DriveClub along for the commute, but it has its issues:
