Ducktales is getting the star treatment that it deserves. This summer, it will be released with a veneer of new graphics and some tweaks to the story.

Back in the day, Ducktales was a big deal. The cartoon was a blockbuster hit that everyone knew and loved. Nowadays though, there's a whole generation who cock their head to the side quizzically when you reference Scrooge McDuck.

Thankfully though, Capcom and WayForward have roped in the original voice actor for the elderly McDuck to flesh out a bit of the classic game's story for those not familiar with Huey, Dewey, and Louie. The new cutscenes will help set up the plot more clearly and fill in some holes that fans may have been wondering about.

Ducktales Remastered is shaping up to be a lovingly revamped version of the original NES classic. Hopefully it keeps the soul of the original, but gives us the graphics we'd like to remember in our heads. Ducktales Remastered is coming to PSN, XBLA, and Wii U sometime this summer.
