Don’t Starve: Reign of Giants Stomps into Action in Late July

Are you hungry for more of Don't Starve? Do you hate bad jokes and would rather hear about the launch date of Don't Starve: Reign of Giants? Well, we have good news for you!

A post on the official Don't Starve Blog features the news about the release date for Don't Starve: Reign of Giants, the upcoming expansion coming to the PlayStation 4 version of Don't Starve. Survivors can expect this expansion to drop on July 22 for North America and July 23 in Europe for $4.99 on the PlayStation Network, with PS+ members receiving a 10% launch discount.

The expansion adds new playabale characters like Wigfrid the actress who thinks she's a Valkyrie and Webber, a boy who lives inside a spider. You'll also get to experience seasons in the game, so look forward to rain and heat waves as well as new biomes. An extra save slot has also been added, as per fan request. And lastly, there will be giants in the game. Which, ya know, makes sense because of the expansion's title.

Klei Entertainment has also set up a new patch that will improve the game's performance and fixes some bugs, as well as adding the following content that was previously PC-only:

• Added Snow Chester and Shadow Chester
• New in-game text strings & dialogue
• Option to disable Screen Shake.
• Expanded options for World Generation.
• New ability to save custom pre-sets in World Generation screen.
• Random character select option when starting a new game.
