Crystal Dynamics Welcomes Art Director for The Last of Us
According to IGN, Wells announced his first day at Crystal Dynamics on Twitter, making a remark about how one can actually smell trees at the studio's headquarters. Wells left Naughty Dog, the developers of The Last of Us, earlier this year on Apr. 3, 2014 and spent most of the year going from small studio to small studio, like Giant Sparrow and Missing Presumed Drowned.
Besides his work on The Last of Us, Wells is also known for working on BioShock with Irrational Games, before he left in 2012 to work with Naughty Dog. It is likely that he will work on Rise of the Tomb Raider, the sequel to the Tomb Raider reboot that is a timed exclusive for the Xbox One, with a PlayStation 4 release likely to follow.
