Betrayer Trailer: Welcome to the Horrors of the New World
A new game called Betrayer has just been announced, giving us a look at America in 1604. Sounds riveting, right? When you add ghosts and a land devoid of color, it most certainly is.
Blackpoweder Games has revealed their new game, Betrayer, a first-person action-adventure game set in the New World in 1604. Your character washes ashore on the Virginia coast in search of an English colony. Unfortunately, all you find is a bunch of ghosts in a black-and-white world.
Your job will be to help uncover the mystery of the colony and find survivors in the wilderness by using tools like muskets, crossbows and throwing axes. It's a brave new world, but you'll probably have to be a lot braver to tackle it.
Watch the trailer above and check out the screens below to get a sense of the mystery and foreboding that surrounds Betrayer. The game will be released as a Steam Early Access title in August. Let us know what you think of it in the comments below.
